Sukrutha Keralam A Digital Donation for a Million-Malayali Movement
Project overview

About the project.

Sukrutha Keralam is a people-powered movement with an unusually clear ambition: unite one million Malayalis worldwide, at a minimum contribution of ₹1,000 each, and direct that collective strength at seven development gaps Kerala has not closed — healthcare, housing, education, skill development and employment, entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, and drug-free communities and rehabilitation. An initiative of Janam Sauhruda Vedhi, a global platform connecting Malayali communities across India and abroad, it operates as a registered trust with public commitments to transparency and accountability in how funds are used.

We built the movement’s digital home in two parts, because the two jobs are genuinely different. The main website runs on WordPress, giving the organisation’s own team full control to publish stories, programmes, blog updates and impact areas without returning to developers. The donation platform is a separate custom application built in React and Node, deployed on its own subdomain, engineered specifically for the one task that matters most — converting a visitor’s intent into a completed contribution, quickly and securely. Between them sits a data-led case for support: a Kerala Development Crisis Dashboard presenting sourced statistics across every focus area, so that a prospective donor encounters evidence rather than appeal.
