We created the brand identity for Arang in Kerala, and the work looked the way all our branding work looks: strategy first, then a mark. Branding at Richinnovations covers naming, logo and identity design, colour and type systems, brand architecture, tone of voice, guidelines, packaging, signage, collateral, and the launch campaign that introduces it to people who have no reason to care yet. We start with positioning, not aesthetics u2014 who you are for, who you are not for, what you are actually better at, and what you are willing to say no to u2014 because a logo built on an unanswered strategy question is just a picture. Then we build an identity system that holds up everywhere it will be used: a storefront in Trivandrum, an exhibition stand in Dubai, an app icon on a phone screen, a thumbnail no bigger than a fingernail.
What makes our branding practice unusual is what sits around it. The same company implements your ERP, so the brand survives contact with the invoice, the delivery note and the login screen u2014 the places where most identities quietly fall apart. The same company runs your SEO and your campaigns, so the tone of voice we define is the one that actually gets written for the next three years, not a page in a PDF nobody opens. And the same company produces your films, so the brand you launch with is the brand your customer meets. Eleven years in, we have learned that consistency is not a design constraint. It is the entire asset.
